Past Puppy Updates
Hi! We thought you would like to see what a beautiful little dog Canaan (your name, "Zach") is becoming. In the 10 weeks phot, he has just been groomed and is a beautiful "vanilla" color with striking salt and pepper highlights.  The groomer said he's the best behaved puppy he's ever had. I worked with him a couple times before taking him, but mostly it was your training.

As his coat grows out, it is "frosted" with charcoal highlights like his muzzle. He's a show stopper! When we walk him on the bike trail, he always has many admirers. We also take him for rides behind our tandem in a bike cart. He loves it, mostly because each time he jumps in, he gets a treat. He's growing fast! We took him to the vet a couple of days ago, and he weighs over 10 pounds. (The vet says he will go about 18 pounds.) He gained four pounds in the last month! We walk him about 2 miles a day besides having him fetch a rag bone in the house. He's pure energy, and very, very funny! A big surprise- he loves the water. We took him on a hike and when we got to a stream, he jumped right in and started swimming. It's a good thing we had a leash on him!

Canaan (pronounced Kaynun) loves children and stops dead in his tracks whenever he sees them. You and your children certainly did a great job of socializing him and the crate training has been invaluable. The first two nights he yelped a bit and on the third night, he was quiet through the night. We've even taken him camping with us. We just take his crate along.

He's a wonderful companion dog and we love him very much. Thank you for providing us with such a great puppy!

Gosh Jill,

I just looked at the poisonous plants list and I think everyone should print it up and display it on their refrigerator. Remember how I had a list of bad foods for birds hanging on my fridge for years? Thanks for the info. I love it when you make life safer for my little furry shadow. There are atleast 8 plants in my yard that Tilly can't chew on, and 3 houseplants that I have to watch out for leaves that might fall to the floor.  I can't wait to see your bad foods list.

This gorgeous boquet of flowers was given to me from my grandpup Heidi and her new owners.  I have never received such beautiful flowers from a pup before, or any flowers for that matter.  Usually the only vegetation I get from pups is matted in their fur. So this is a very special treat! Thank you Heidi and her new owners Barb and Ray.

Jill,

Thankyou so much for your help with finding a good home for my Holly. The girl seemed to be a great young woman and I feel certain Holly will be safe and loved. I miss her so very much but this will be best for her as we will be away traveling. I also want to let you know that I think you are one of the sweetest, kindest, willing person I have met in such a long time. God Bless you in all you do in this life. Most Sincerely,
