Health Guarantee

This dog is Guaranteed to be in good health, to the best of our knowledge at the time of sale.

We vaccinated the puppy for distemper, parainfluenza, adenovirus, parvo, and possibly bordetella. The puppy will be wormed at 2,4,6, and 8weeks of age. At 8 weeks we give first dose of heartworm preventative, and first application of Frontline plus. If puppy is picked up before 8 weeks of age you will be provided with last dosage of wormer, heartworm preventative, and topical flea preventative. Buyer will then be responsible for administering said medications.

Puppy is guaranteed to be free of any viral diseases for a period of 3 days (72 hours) from date of pick up . IF buyer does not believe puppy is in good health then buyer must have puppy thouroughly examined by a vet (at buyer's expense) within 3 days of delivery.  If a licensed vet finds puppy not to be in good health, it can be replaced for another puppy of equal or lesser value of the customer's choice immediately or as soon as one becomes available. Exchanges must be accompanied by a letter from examining veterinarian.

However, if buyer ACCEPTS  puppy is in good health and free of viral diseases they may wait until the puppy's next vaccine is due to go to vet.   Meridas Miniature Schnauzers will not exchange puppies with viral diseases after 3 days.  If a puppy has a viral disease after 3 days it has contracted it after leaving our premises and is buyers responsibility.

Merida's Miniature Schnauzers also guarantees this puppy to be free of genetic or congenital defects for 2 full years from date of birth. Genetic Defects does not include diseases of any kind as these are responsibilty of the buyer. IF during the 2 years the puppy is found to have a life threatening congenital of genetic disorder by 2 unassociated veterinarians Merida's Miniature Schnauzers will provide buyer with next available puppy of equal or lesser value. Buyer must provide veterinary statements, proof of spay/neuter, and return of AKC paperwork to Merida's Miniature Schnauzers before taking posession of puppy. Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges.

In the event of death during 2 year period following birth, an autopsy shoud be performed within 72 hours. The dead puppy should be kept refrigerated, not frozen, to prevent decay until autopsy can be perfomed. Buyer is responsible for medical and transportation expenses. Merida's Miniature Schnauzers must be provided with a verterinary report pertaining to cause of death. If puppy died from congenital or genetic disorder puppy will be replaced with next available puppy of equal or lesser value. Buyer is responsible for shipping charges.

Merida's Miniature Schnauzers is not responsible for any medical expense, allergies, training difficulties, behavioral problems, or accident related death your pet may incur after leaving our premises. 

Merida's Miniature Schnauzers does not guarantee any puppy for breeding.  Nor do we guarantee size, color, or temperament.

Merida's Miniature Schnauzers requires puppies to be kept on " NuVet Plus Canine" nutritional supplement. This supplement is only available through breeder recommendation. All puppies will leave with a sample of this product, after which it is the buyer's responsibility to keep product on hand. ****NOTE***TO get the 2 year guarantee you must keep your puppy on Nuvet Plus.  I only offer a 1 year guarantee for puppies who are not receiving their Nuvet Plus supplement.  Processing removes alot of the nutritional value from your dogs food.
